Apartment Quite Acceptable Buenos Aires

Apartment Quite Acceptable, Buenos Aires.

On this day 7 years ago, KC was playing at the Circus Krone in Munich – a great venue for a circus, a lousy venue for sound. Hernan was also there. I remember him trying very hard not to say: the show was crap.

On this morning, Hernan & I were both so wiped we were only able to nod at each other BY the breakfasting counter. Not even one word of exchange was possible: we had both hit The Wall. Hernan attributes this to the change of altitude coming from Mendoza. Perhaps Hernan is trying very hard not to say: you are an Old Goat in rapid decline & an early entry to the Old Gigsters’ Retirement Home is closer than anyone feels willing to tell you. Had Hernan actually used these words, I would have nodded, grunted agreement & pulled out my Old Folks’ complementary ‘bus pass to ride Worcestershire roads gratis.

Our important interview for this morning – the vital one for the national newspaper – was perhaps not quite as vital as we were lead to believe, because it didn’t confirm & didn’t happen. This was probably a good outcome: at 10.00 all that was available, in response to a series of probing questions, were a few grunts. Instead, an e-frenzying in support of the proposed GC House.

My Godson Jack is visiting us for lunch.

Biff indicates that he has a new English pal, one invited to visit him in Madison, Wisconsin.

Our wines at lunch come from El Selections de Geezer, our Mendocino wine advisor…

21.23  Discussion at supper of Bredonborough. A series of j-pegs were displayed indicating where The Ideal House is situated.

Now, practising.

21.56  Yippee! The Minx has called with news of her day & its excitements. I am now a Happy Boy. Back to practising…

23.51  Enough.

What? Water is dripping from the ceiling above the bed. A small el splatto! as a water droplet hits a surface, then a small el splasho! as gravity sends the separated splatto parts to splash on the bed, and its occupant, below.
